Sorry to post twice.
I sound eloquent and well-versed on a computer, when I am typing letters or doing posts on online forums.
In fact you wouldn't see my autism that much when I type (unless I am typing about my autism).
However when I speak, my autism is obvious apparently. Someone said that I talk very monotonously, I struggle with word finding at times, I make zero eye contact, I either ramble about a topic or I barely say a word.
I tried to ask a woman working in a shop where the baskets were and I couldn't even get that out; my support worker had to ask for me.
I can talk a bit better with people I know but strangers make me stutter and generally get word confusion.
I am verbose on a computer and can write long posts or letters. But when I talk to people about general stuff (ie not my special interests), I struggle.
Is anyone else like this?
