Decent documentaries about Autism (HFA or AS)?

Hey gang,

I am wanting to show my father few documentaries about Autism and to date He has seen "This Is Autism" and "Autism The Musical" which both are good for a general understanding about the disorder however both tend to look at the more severe cases of the disorder with "the musical" briefly touching on the lives two high functioning children (Henry & Wyatt) I was wondering if anybody out there knew of any decent documentaries which profiles those with HFA or AS which shows their struggles in daily life or shows how some are not able to pick up on social cues.

I don't fit into the "lower functioning" group and he has even said what does this have to do with you...Your not like these kids I try to tell him it's a spectrum disorder what you are seeing is perhaps the more severe side of the disorder.

So if anybody out there has a few titles you may know off please feel free to chime in...I'm only looking for documentaries not docudramas or movies about whom is on the spectrum.

4:45 into it, she says, one area where there needs to be a lot more work is in the sensory areas, I'm tired of all the theory of mind research. I mean, how can you socialize if you can't stand to be in a restaurant or at a sporting event.

Earlier she says, auditory threshold tells you nothing about auditory detail. Sometimes a person on the Spectrum will watch the mouth while the person talks to supplement auditory detail. (I'd also personally add that there are certain ways of softening the vision so that this is less obvious and uncomfortable to the person you're watching)

Temple's speech is generally directed to parents of kids on the Spectrum, but she says a lot of stuff applicable for adults, too.
