I got this obsessive behavior which I do nearly everyday since 3 years ago; whenever I get the chance of staying alone at my room i would lock the door and keep walking around it for a long time listening to something. I tried leaving this behavior but I couldn't
Is this bad?????
Does anyone else do this or something similar to it???

There was someone who accidently once knew about this behavior and said it's creepy and not good.

Listening to what?
Why does the door have to be locked?
Why would anything about this be bad? it sounds innocuous and a bit dull from an outside perspective.

Not exactly - I've done it ever since I lived on my own and had a private room - which has been about 40 years. In fact I've done it for as long as I can remember - it's just that as a kid or when I was in the Air Force or in college - I didn't usually have the privacy of my own room . I will usually have the TV or a movie on and only partly pay attention.

I have to have the doors locked and the shades pulled too. I don't know how it can be bad. It doesn't hurt anybody.

Music mainly, mostly anime soundtracks and sometimes anime episode with talking in it with a soundtrack in background.
I keep the door locked because my mom or someone would maybe enter and find me roaming around like that and I don't want that to happen.

I was thinking it might be bad because I love doing it so much and because its a strange habit but I think as long as it doesn't get in the way of doing daily work or something its ok, I consider it entertainment.

I do this too. It's no big deal.

Do you mean pacing up and down your room? I do this sometimes with or without music. And I do it more if I'm deep in thought (especially if it's a positive, exciting thought). I assume it's a kind of stim.

The desire for solitude and shutting out the outside world is normal for someone on the spectrum.
Pacing around that way sounds like a stim to me.
I've been known to sit for hours alone in my room rocking back and forth.

I rarely leave my room. I pace when I'm talking to myself about a story I'm writing or a world I've created.

I do almost the same thing when I'm alone, especially if I have the whole house to myself. I put on my music and then I continuously walk around the house singing, usually pretty loudly. And I stim a lot while doing this. I bet I look really weird. Nobody has actually seen me doing this before (thankfully) but they have heard me singing. I'm usually singing a lot louder than I realize, I've had times where I thought I was alone and my parents were actually upstairs and came and yelled at me for being loud.

But yeah, it doesn't sound that weird to me, at least you aren't being loud like I am

I do this. There's a couple of CD's I do it to and will do it for their entire length and follow a specific route/pattern around the room.

I have a few variants of this; the funny thing is, that until you mentioned it, I never thought much about it being unusual before.

Whenever I arrive at home or work, I have to spend some time walking around, getting my bearings. If someone interrupts me before I have had a chance to do so, I feel very uncomfortable, and I start forgetting what I am there to do.

Also, I will walk around and around a room if I am thinking. It drives my husband crazy, so I usually try to close the door behind me to be alone. As a child, the first thing I had to do on arriving home from school was run around and around the backyard (trailed by our dog).

Animals frequently pace or circle their territory; dogs will circle several times before laying down. I think it may be a residual behavior that served a purpose for humans in the past, and continues to be a comforting or relaxing stim to those of us who are generally a little more anxious about our environment. Also, if I recall correctly, it is linked to thinking processes because the movement stimulates the parietal lobes of the brain.

I listen to music whenever I have the chance like if I am on the computer, cleaning going for a walk with my headphones. But no weird rituals like that associated with it. However that is not to say I don't do anything weird much of the time if i am home alone I will walk around and talk to myself with an obnoxious english accent doing various things. Sometimes this occurs while i have music playing.

I always lock the door to the house. I close the blinds too. I just don't want someone walking in or watching what I'm doing. I don't walk around a whole lot though, unless I'm singing or listening to intense music. When I listen to music, it clears my mind. I either sing along or try to figure out what they are doing to get the sound their getting. I don't think it's harmful. Kind of theraputic. I think it's good to lock your doors. Even to your room.
