Often times after talking to a friend on the phone for an hour or more, I get inexplicable anxiety or panicky feelings afterwards in my chest, and/or nausea, and/or headache. It happened tonight. Was talking to a good friend I have known for about 5 years and I actually ended up talking at her I'm afraid  as I did most of the talking about some current events and opinions about them. Luckily the conversation or me talking isn't still going on in my head like it often does for like an hour or two after an interaction like I get stuck on it and it just keeps going. Instead I have this "sick" thing. It has happened before though I don't remember any specific examples. Just inexplicable anxiety after talking on the phone for so long and feeling ill.

Does anyone else get this?

Defies categorization. A mixed bag.

I can experience degrees of this after conversations, whether on the phone or in person. I use positive self-talk to help keep it from worsening, and over the next day or two it fades.

It does, though, have the effect of causing me to avoid conversations as a means of also avoiding this sort of "social hangover".

This often happens to me when I've had lengthy conversations.
