That's an excellent book, probably the very best one in my opinion. Read the end-of-chapter summaries, instead of trying to plow all the way through the whole book at first. Don't obsess over having it or not having it! I have it, and it's not so horrible!!
Please forgive my aspie bluntness, but it seems like your anxiety level is what's causing you the most distress, not the AS symptoms you say you're afraid you have! The best advice I could give you is to maybe try taking an antidepressant, like Zoloft or Lexapro. You'd be surprised at how that will make you able to distinguish between what may be anxiety symptoms vs AS symptoms. AS is not anxiety, but living with AS oftentimes causes anxiety! Until you can get the anxiety symptoms down to a managable level, you'll not be able to clearly see which is which.
