Since I don't, I'll just go forward. I've been open about my forcing the issue of appropriate care from Kaiser. I've gotten them to send me out of network for counseling with someone who has a lot of experience with autism. I'm in the process of getting a doctor who REALLY understands and can help me with my diagnosis. I believe I will succeed in this effort. My longer term goal is to broaden what is required of insurance companies regarding appropriate care for autistics. When I get what I need, I'll figure out what is legal and appropriate for us to demand of our insurance. The laws aren't always applied and we as a community must force these laws to be enforced to relieve our suffering. In advance of seeing a doctor, I've been thinking of what the 'symptoms' of autism are. I've learned a lot here, though much of it isn't 'scientifically' confirmed as we are on the internet. However, I believe that we are in a unique position to collect possible symptoms as we suffer from it. So the question is, what are symptoms you have. They don't have to be recognized by science. Even if they just seem to us as related is good enough for this poll. I'll start with my list.
Sleep problems
Intestinal problems
anxiety
depression
stimming
restless legs
This is a start. Please continue with anything that seems appropriate to you. One last thing. Please let's keep politics, religion, and possible causes out of this discussion. All possible symptoms are in play. There may be unexpected symptoms that come up in very high numbers that nobody has noticed before. This poll is designed to start to make sense out of it. Also, if one here can set up a poll or explain to me how to do it, that would be appreciated. If someone has a better idea for setting this up, please feel free to start your own thread using those ideas. This isn't a competition, it's simply an attempt to sort out these issues.
