Cure for Neurotypical Disorder
Ok the first couple times the "nt syndrome" thing was thrown around it was kinda funny now it's just getting old...like it's their fault that we are wired a little differently and decided to put a name on it...so fukking what just accept it. I hate this nt vs aspie attitude.
This is obviously an attempt to knock the other poll about a cure for autism...again so what's the big deal with that? the dude just wanted to know where you stand with it, you don't have to agree with it, that's why it is a poll....aka a place for select your preference.

Just intended as a light hearted joke, not a "knock". If you've read my replies in that thread you'll also know I'm not for the NT vs Aspie thing either. I view us all as equal but different (in a good way).
However, it is just as valid a question. Being NT isn't a perfect condition of being either (has it's pros and cons), and you could equally do research in order to find genetic markers related to being NT and make a foolhardy attempt to "conform" NT's to your own concept of how people should be by rewiring their brains.
The real conversation shouldn't be about conforming (or "curing") anyone to some set standard set arbitrarily by numbers or perceptions, but in how we can operate together in acceptance and celebration of our differences as NT, Aspie or otherwise Neurodivergent, and learn how to use and develop those differences to our mutual empowerment.

Hell ya man, that last bit there is something that I think we can all appreciate! I can't wait for the day where our differences are, as you said, celebrated and we can stop being afraid to come out of our holes and help one another though this life. I'm just learning how to accept my differences myself, if it took me 27 years to finally start accepting who I am and that's the first step in getting others to accept us, we have learn to accept ourselves first.
A shovel in the back of the head seems like a good cure ![]()
We've been told our whole lives that we're the ones with the problem, but after so much remission & time I think some of us hopefully now know NT's also can't relate to us; that being said, what makes you think you me and at least millions of people on the spectrum are just not crazy?
Maybe a cure for NT syndrome is exactly what needs to be researched by a group of Autistic scientists and stick it right back in their faces..
I can understand where most Apsies are coming from and why they wouldn't want a cure if it existed, but for me just to alleviate the pain of everyday loneliness I would take it.

You are taking things too seriously, imo...
If you don't like the "channel", don't turn it on...
Simples...
I find it a bit of fun, turning things around on the inmates who control the asylum...lol
I find it cathartic...
Chill out dood...
Settle petal...
Mellow, man...
I'm just learning how to accept my differences myself,
This is the "tragedy" our situation...
We have social developmental delay to a large extent simply because we are different...
We lack social maturity to a large extent because of poor/detrimental experiences in our formative years...
And with that often comes a lack of self confidence and a low self esteem in addition to severely limiting our experiences of social interaction due to the resultant isolation...
Not to mention ontological insecurity...
Oh dear, I just did...
Neurotypical children can be ratbags...
If we could fix this ratbaggery, I would vote for it...
