I really do think we are on the wrong planet.

There has to be a planet in these trillions and trillions of galaxies with a civilization that understands us. Isn't the Universe beautiful? I wish I could reach the rest of it...

You're asking an awful lot of the universe...

We don't even understand us...

I'm talking about a whole world. Not 1% of a primal society ruled by apes.

Yes, a planet usually is a whole world... The last part I don't really understand, I think I might have a clue, but I don't want to be grasping at straws for no apparent reason.

Part of the human condition, something we're not supposed to feel as aliens. /sarcasm

You'd enjoy playing Spore

I don't feel like an alien on earth. I may have quite a unique personality, but I do think and feel like others around me. I belong here on earth.

Well, in my case it's not others not understanding me. It's me who doesn't want to cooperate.

No necessarily; emotions are not unique to human beings, animals feel them as well, thus it stands to reason that a sentient alien species in the universe somewhere would likely experience emotions similar, perhaps identical, to our own. I'd like to think there's a species out there who behave like, and understand us as a default, and who would welcome us as their own if we ever came across them.

I agree. I'm right where I belong, I just started on the back foot.
