saw a new doctor, he wanted to me to take a assessment
it was a scantron with about 600 questions, he put me in a different room by myself
it had really bright lights and one of those one way mirrors that made the lights worse and one of them was making a buzzing sound, hurt
he said he would come check on me sometimes
the whole thing took me maybe 3hrs
he checks on me once about 30min in
then again about 20min before I was done
he said when I was done I should wait for him to come get me
so I waited
and waited and waited for a long time
he didn't come back so I walked out and all the lights were off in the clinic
he went home, forgot about me
I found someone who was working late she let me out
he called me now, said he's so so sorry
I wanted to tell him I didn't want to come back but what came out was "it's okay"
and he scheduled me a follow up
but it's not okay, I don't want to go back

Have you contacted a lawyer or the police? False imprisonment is a crime. At the very least, the press should know about this.

I think that you would be better off to NOT go back.

I definitely wouldn't go back if I were you! See if there's somewhere he can refer you to; forgetting about your patients is totally unacceptable!

This is really crappy treatment.

I would tell him, over the phone, that you don't wish to come back there, but make him transfer your test results (including the interpretation) to a new clinic or provider. If he hesitates, you can imply you are looking at a complaint with the state licensing board, but you will hold off if he cooperates in sending your test results.

But don't deny yourself the benefits of therapy or other mental health treatment.

If you do go back for the follow-up he scheduled, take someone with you. Anyone. It will give you courage to not let this person push you around.

You don't know if he'll allow you to bring someone, or you don't know if you can get anyone to go with you?
