Hi,
I know Dyspraxia often comes with AS. I do have it, pretty mildly though. Today I was also diagnosed with Dysphonia, which means a disorder of the speech. In my case, my vocal chords are too weak to close properly, which means my voice is rather airy and weak, at least when I sing. I will probably get some kind of therapy for this. It's very inconvenient since I am a passionate singer and I have had trouble with too weak and airy voice for years now and only now do I know it is an organic issue rather than wrong technique or lack of practice.
Does anyone here also have some case of dysphonia? I was told it is probably connected to my dyspraxia as it causes me to have poor muscle tone. I might require a more general therapy to work on that in general before my vocal chords can work properly. Do you have experience with therapy for dysphonia and/or dyspraxia?
