I noticed that a lot of autistic people including myself have a classic (oblong or round) face with little bone structure and evenly placed eyes/nose as well as a pouty lip.

Looks something like this.

I've seen threads about autism look before but I don't really know if it's autism that causes it or if it's the way SOME autistics breathe or eat that shapes it that way because I do know a small mumber of aspies who don't have it.

No, it's just your imagination. I was diagnosed with ASD in 1998, and I've always been told that there are no significant physical look in Aspies or Autistics, and the first time I came across that one was when I came here.

The face shape picture in your link looks nowhere near my face shape, and I've met loads of NT women with that face shape. My face shape has a lot of visible bone structure. I look like my dad, and his family, and they are all NTs.

Shield shaped to square face and look like my dads family, - some of them have certain autistic traits, but it is all a coincidence. The "autistic face" theory is pure speculation.

It's pure nonsense, in my opinion.

Autism, alone, has no effect upon a person's physical appearance.

I think there is a sort of Asperger look, but not everyone has it. I think it's particularly noticeable in photographs. It's something about body position and gaze. It's nothing to do with face shape though!

I notice there are facial features. The eyes and lips/philtrum in particular. But not all Aspies have it. Which is why I wonder if it's related to something else that many but not all Aspies have in common.
