Paroxetine has helped my autism social issues.

Could it be possible that its reduced some of the core symptoms? It has helped me look people in the eyes, take more risks and generally have a sense of real calmness.
I pay attention to my behavior very carefully and it's certainly made me more confident and walk up to people. After trying many medications and all failing this one is the only one that's made a big difference. It's approved for social anxiety.
I normally don't smile on camera either, but have been able to with much less effort. And not an awkward or fake smile, I mean a genuine one.
