hi I need your help! I suspect that i might be on the autistic spectrum and I made some test who suggest it to (to be seen in the pictures)
so I'd like to know what actually autists think about my scores.
This is not about self-diagnosing (well, maybe a first step) but idk ask me some specific things because I don't think you can say that you are 100% sure i am autistic because of some numbers. So If you want to help me, don't be scared.

What I probably should add: Things I know I have are
-Major depressive disorder
-Social Anxiety disorder (but it's MUCH better lately so you could say for the sake of this post I'm 'just' socially weird.)
-probably some more but I'm not sure so that's all.

I'm saying these because I don't know how mental illnesses interfrere with autism.
(You know, especially tge social part)

some 'symptoms' include
-i'm pretty sure i had hyperlexia (with that I mean I haven't been diagnosed but I was a pretty 'smart' kid who was way ahead of tge others especially in speaking and reading)
-i don't know if you can call them sensory issues but I'm quite sensitive to sound. I mean i can control myself but it's really ...ugh I don't know how to explain it. horrible, frustrating; like i want to rip my skin off but as i said i can control myself (often) so it's mostly internal; also some days it's worse than others
-as said, I am extremely socially awkward but not in a cute way. this probably had to do with my SAD/Trauma due to childhood bullying but i literally couldn't talk with people and enter public transport. my mouth didn't work, i was 'petrified'. I don't how i 'overcome this' but i think it's worth mentioning it.

that's all i'm willing to share right now and i appreciate some replies. thank you for reading

The social part might be more social anxiety than anything else. Do you have trouble making friends? Trouble making conversation with people? Do you prefer to be alone? Do you have trouble reading body language/facial expressions? Do you tend to miss social cues and say the wrong thing?

thank you for replying!

yes i do have trouble making friends and i can never hold a friendship. nothing has lasted more than 2 years;

i really can't 'smalltalk' so i guess. it happens often that i don't know what to say and neither does the other person so we just stay in silence until something happens or the other person just goes 'well okay bye'
but that's just with people i'm not really close with, so it might be the social anxiety again.

i'm a loner and an introvert so yes; sometimes, i mean i can read 'the atmosphere' but not the body language and facial expressions or just very poorly. mostly i think people have a bored or an angry expression even if they don't actually.

well, sometimes but i 'learned' within the years what's acceptable to say and when. I used to interrupt a lot of people.

sorry if the writing like this is confusing, i'm very excited but if it is i can take more time and write properly
thank you

Yes, the images do work. Click this button on the toolbar

Then paste the url into the box and click "Insert into message"

You'll see this "" type thing in the post where the picture will be.

If you're curious, you may try taking the aspie quiz or the AQ (autism quotient) test to see if you might be autistic. Keep in mind that those are just internet quizzes, and are not equivalent to a diagnosis, and are often wrong, but they can give you a general idea if you have traits that are common with people on the specturm.

I would say bieng very sensitive to sound a sensory issue. Depression and social anxiety often co occur with Autism. Does change or change of routine bother you? Do you do things over and over and over again or have "weird" body movememts you do over and over?

I definitely do share some traits associated with autism, which made me think about it in the first place; but that doesn't make me autistic I guess.

I pretty much do have a routine but I often fall out of it, which might be due to depression, so I guess it doesn't bother me that much.
I do recognize some repetitive pattern in some things I do, I even have some 'ticks' that are low-key obsessive-compulsive but I don't have any weird body movements. Except, I do walk sometimes 'weirdly', but again, it might just be a physical thing.

Go see a professional I've known a lot of people who have self diagnosed this year worshipping at the altar of the xanga quiz and some who've seen doctors and refused to accept their true diagnosis And treatment for it with others like here enabling that which causes your true illness not to be properly treated.

One self diagnoser was committed for their mania getting out of control and them not getting the treatment they needed in which they eventually went out and harmed someone. I blame all the people who enabled that person to worship at the altar of the online quiz

Yeah we are just happy he has finally getting the help he needs. His cousin briefed us since his cousin actually has autism.

We are all afraid though once he gets out he is going to reject his diagnosis of what he really has and go to another autism group and be protected by the online quiz enablers.

I hope when you see a professional which ever way it works I hope you get put on a plan that helps you. It changed my life for the better when I finally sought answers to my questions
