hello all im posting to see what interest there may be in sensory holidays,im attempting to open a holiday center in portugal offering sensory holidays with autism friendly activities surrounded by nature that cater for the whole family.i guess any ideas about what you look for ect would be gratefully received :

What are your interests? Do you prefer beach breaks, city breaks or recreational breaks? I ask because the destination of choice will be influenced by this.

I don't think there forsee there being any desinations that are specifically tailored to indiviudals with ASD. I would suggest staying in venues that are 4* and onwards as those venues are more likely to have soundproofing and more tolorable guests. If staying in a city get a high floor.

If you want it to be "for the whole family" you'll want a separate area for kids that's supervised by employees, because children running around screaming is a sensory nightmare for a lot of autistics. The nature thing sounds nice, as does a large sensory room with equipment big enough for adults. A wide variety of food on offer will be helpful as well for those with flavour and texture issues.
