Hi guys, just wanted to know if anyone else is experiencing what I'm experiencing.
So basically, if you meet someone, you meet them physically and even that is hard. However, when you do make "friends" (the perception of friends varies from people to people but I class a friend as someone who you will go straight to if you got any concerns, you are with them a lot of the time inside and outside college/school/work and you generally feel that they care and understand) and to come by these people is so difficult. I find physically connecting to people a lot easier than mentally/emotionally. I can "stand" with people who I TALK to, not necessarily friends with, but cannot emotionally connect with them to become friends.

So to sum up that jibberish, it's easier for one to physically connect to people but it's very difficult to make friends because you can't mentally connect with them, if that makes sense?

^I am kind and loving to everyone, but also shy and withdrawn and introverted, so people like me a lot often, but I prefer to keep to myself.

Thats what I usually do, but I *want* to see what its like as I've never done it before and it makes me annoyed and upset that it doesn't come naturally

Yeah I am with you. I don't think I really ever connect with anyone, even myself. I don't know enough about how I am feeling to be able to express it to anyone. I've just lost my marriage because I couldn't connect with my wife. I haven't gone to any "friends" to help me through it either. I just go back to my empty flat and deal with any problems myself.

Really sorry to hear that. PM if you ever want to talk.
