I have like no executive function whatsoever.

Every time I have to buy something online, I put it off and put it off because of the credit card part. There is finding my purse, finding my wallet in my purse, finding my credit card in my purse and then actually typing the number in which is a very daunting task for me.

I avoid buying things online as much as possible and I never buy anything that I can get in stores, online. First of all, I prefer not use my credit card for most purchases and I use my debit card and second of all, it's a lot of work for me to buy something online. Also, I hate waiting for the product to come.

Anyone else's EF issues THIS bad?

nope, but you could write your card information down, or have chrome autofill it so you dont have to search for it

My EF problems are quite bad but not as bad as that. I am struggling to understand where the difference between using a debit card (your preference) vs credit card is. Both require you to input data to make a payment.

Most online vendors let you save your credit card (or debit card) information in your "account" with them. This would make it much easier to place your order.

Personally, the difficulty of going out to shops is much greater than ordering online from my armchair.

I have only ever used my credit and debit card online. The thought of using either through a card machine is daunting. Taking too much time to use the machine correctly and the possible reaction of other shoppers would really trigger my SA.

I don't feel safe doing this. What if my laptop is stolen? I think the risks outweigh the benefits on this one.

I will probably lose the paper I write my info down on.

Thanks though.

There are many other things I hate about online shopping including how long everything takes to get my home. Literally, I ordered a package two weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived. First, it had the wrong address so they just returned it to the sender and now it is taking FOREVER to come.

I use checkout with paypal which all I have to sign in with that and it has all my information, payment and shipping information. I usually shop with my galaxy S7 and can even have my fingerprint set up to automatically log me into paypal, even fills out my account name and password for me for most websites.

But to answer your question, yes I have horrible executive functioning, and it is the most disabling part of Asperger's syndrome for me.

There arent really a lot of risks though.
Do you have a password on your laptop? You could write it down on a paper and tape it to your wall/desk/where-ever, and even if it gets stolen it doesnt remember your CVV code (the 3 or 4 digit code) so it wouldnt be possible to buy something even if they could have bypassed your lock on your computer

Get an RFID wallet = Problem solved. Not only that but you'll be protecting your cards and your identity.

If a mod sees this, can this thread be locked? It's taken a turn that I did not intend when I posted it. I posted it to see if anyone had the same problem as me, and clearly, it's not the case.

This stuff gets easier with practice. I've also learned to make checklists for things like shopping trips, and they reduce the worries about remembering everything. You can hide numbers to copy on a computer in many ways without making them obvious to hackers.
