Awkward around work colleagues

Does anyone feel really uncomfortable around their work colleagues? I just had an episode there where my work colleague was helping me with something and I've never felt so uncomfortable. I know he sees it and is probably wondering wtf? I know I'm staring right into his eyes and I know he feels uncomfortable with my eye contact...I feel like I'm staring into his soul...never really know what to say to him either...
