I was wondering who here has a strong attachment to a certain item they like. For me I have this really old pillow. I have had it for like 10 years or so. It fell all apart and I had to put the pillow in a zip up pillow case.

I always have to sleep with it. I like putting it on my head when I sleep. I like cuddling with it. And my favorite thing is smelling it. I love the smell of my old pillow and I never wash it. Gross to some I'm sure. But washing the pillow is somethign I won't do. I love that old weird smell. I love my pillow and would be lost without it.

I am very attached to my things.
Non-electronics things topping the list are:
Old stuffed animal i got when i was 1,5 years old
My favourite pillowcase with my favourite pillow
My favourite blanket (as in the thing you put on a blanket, like a sheetthingie) that matches previously mentioned pillowcase

Here are few more things I though of after reading your post. I have a stuffed reindeer that I got in 1994. I was like a year and a half old. Used to call him my brother and wrestle and talk to him. His name is Pete. Now he just sits in closet for fear of falling apart. I also have a comforter I've had for about 7 years. I use it all the time and don't like changing it. I like the material and weight of it.

I'm attached to my blue steel German helmet that I've named Schultz. I still have Sid from Flushed Away in front of my TV after 10 years. I have a small Union Jack on a small black pole placed inside of a pea vase with a few other things. I sleep with a German flag sometimes. I have a stuffed dog that looks like Chico did. I've got all of my Kinks CDs. I've also got my Om Nom stuffies from Cut the Rope.

I have a sizable collection of Pokemon plushies, as well as a couple of MLP:FiM plushies (Build a Bear Big Mac and Funrise Derpy/Ditzy/Muffins/Bubbles/whatever you want to call her). I also have a Funko Pop of Sakura Haruno from Naruto sitting on my desk.

Placing an emotional attachment to something is common, for anyone.

I have some things I'd never want to get rid of, some of which are sitting in a box somewhere.

It's a perfectly fine thing to do. Though when you leak into hording territory, it can be problematic. I've gone through a few purgings and, generally speaking, I've not missed anything. Except for Peaches, the small stuffed cat that would sit in the console in my car. I miss Peaches. But, hey, we move on and it's only ever an issue with someone reminds me of it, so way to go tw0493. :) (I kid, I kid).

While I'm attached to my whole Doctor Who and Torchwood collection, I am particularly attached to a stuffed Adipose from Doctor Who as well as a red panda plushie I have. I always sleep with them both and I have a smaller version of the Adipose that I call "Addy Junior" that goes with me wherever I go in my messenger bag.
