I know people can have issues with things like elastic,labels, and tags on clothes. What about the material though ie cotton, polyester, silk etc ?

The most I ever noticed it was a shirt I had to wear for football from time to time when at prep school. I have no idea what the material was other than it wasn't polyester and didn't feel like normal cotton. I used to really dislike that sports shirt. The material was itchy and horrible against my skin . I never used to hear the other boys complaining though , and guess they had no problem with it.

Can't stand polyester clothing.
It gives me something like prickly heat.
Same with wool or fleece next to my skin.
It's ok as an outer layer in winter.
I try to stick to 100% cotton fabric as much as possible.

I don't think I would like fleece and wool actually next to my skin . If there's a layer of cotton in between though it's ok.

I have a silk shirt which is quite nice to wear.
Bamboo is ok too.
Linen is ok if it's a fine linen, some seem to be coarser and irritating.

I can't wear any kind of woolen sweater. To me it feels like a shirt full of wooden slivers and I can feel every single thread and it drives me absolutely barmy. I actually think that they're digging into my skin and embedding themselves in my flesh and the feeling is absolutely, positively and totally distracting and over-stimulating.

Wool definitely makes me itchy immediately.

Fleece I can wear for a while, but seems to cause eczema over time.

Cotton is by far the best.

I can only tolerate soft cotton fabric and microfiber against my skin.

I hate polyester and acrylic with a passion.

In summer I prefer viscose.

During the summer months at work, I'll wear lightweight polyester shirts with moisture-wicking properties. I've had a few different styles and brands over the years. Some are scratchy and coarse, others can be very soft (Nike/Adidas vs Hanes).

I generally wear cotton, but, like I stated above, not every cotton blend is created equally. I have some that are incredibly soft, and others that feel fine on their own, but like fine-grit sandpaper in comparison. I hate denim jeans and have switched to cotton pants.

My sheets have to be at least 300 thread count. I also have very soft, thick towels.

I feel that I need to wear cotton shirts and cotton pants. I also wear sandals in the summer so that I don't need to wear socks. I also find that lighter shades of green have a calming effect on me, so I wear a lot of green.

I generally find polyester comfortable. Heavy cotton garments- no.

I always wear a cotton t-shirt underneath other shirts.
