What do I do when I literally can't go to school?
As I've said before I pretty much didn't go to school for a year and a half. Needless to say I got and still get in a lot of trouble.
I'm supposed to be going back soon but I'm positive I won't be able to go long.
I really have no idea what to do. I'm extremely depressed and just have so many reasons I don't go. But that obviously isn't an option.
I don't have enough money to go to a therapist or anything and even if I did no one would care. All they think is I don't want to go.
Please someone tell me what to do. I've thought about just running away so that my mother wouldn't get in trouble but I definitely wouldn't last long.
I seriously don't know what I can do.
Not sure where you are, and your options definitely depend on that. I'm in the US. If you're in a Commonwealth country (UK/Canada etc., for those who aren't sure) there will be different options.
In the US you might be able to home school. You *might* be able to find a tutorial program - tutors come to you. Not sure how many of these there are now, because I'm over 60 and so much has changed. If your inability to attend school is due to a literally disabling psychological or emotional condition, you might be able to get more help once that's confirmed.
When I was in high school, one of my class mates had a younger brother who had very severe social phobia. The brother was a very nice person and extremely bright, but going to school was just out of the question. He did a combination of tutoring and homeschooling, his parents were definitely not rich. I just don't know if those things are available anymore, and again, I'm not sure where you are - your mileage will vary.
I'm so sorry, Masakados, I don't know much more to tell you. But you have Internet access. Try searching on "alternative instruction - middle school" if you're in the US. Try searching on "tutorial support - middle school" and similar.
Hopefully there are very high functioning aspies here who work or have worked in educational fields and will have more useful info. Don't give up on yourself. I know that's easy for me to say, but I mean it truly.

No I'm not being abused at home. The reason I consider running away is because I don't want my family to get in trouble with the law because I can't go to school. If things stay as they are my mother will probably get arrested. We already get tons of letters from authorities.
I already tried homeschooling and I couldn't do it. It forced me into social situations that I couldn't handle and was pretty much just public school in a computer. I've reviewed all of my options and I don't have many. I'll be attending a charter high school but, again, I don't think I'll be able to do it. Especially because it has stricter attendance policies. I don't have the money to do anything else like getting a tutor or getting special help.
I'm really not sure what to do.
Masakados, I'm going to drop some links on you. It may be possible for you to get financial assistance, to be evaluated for "disability". Such an evaluation might take the legal pressure off your mother, also.
Here is a specific link: http://www.parentcenterhub.org/evaluation/
And here are links that will reproduce searches: I use ixquick because it blocks trackers. The second search includes the term "psychological" because that picked up some additional hits. The third search includes the term "financial" because that's how you'll find out what monetary help may be available.
If you prefer another search engine, just copy the terms with plus signs next to them, and paste them into the search box. It'll run the same boolean search. (example: disability+assessment+school+assistance)

What bothers me, on your behalf, is that the guidance counselors at your school really ought to be reaching out to help with this... that's supposedly why they exist... it's not at all your fault that they haven't; they really should.
(Edit in: the links do not display in full, but I tested them from the "live post", and they did work.)

I just kind of skimmed through that but I bookmarked it so I could read it in full later. I already looked in to getting evaluated but alone it costs 600 dollars. I also had the chance to get evaluated by the school but I ruined my chance because I couldn't go.
Is there anything else that could help in that link? Because that's all I really saw.
What sort of "social situations" do you get into when you are homeschooled?
I know somebody who went to "online high school," and is now working in the same library I am working in.
Again....running away would be the poorest choice you ever made in life. People will exploit you in many ways: sexually, especially.
Your parents should respond to the letters sent by the "authorities." The should inform them about the efforts being made to put you in school. A potential problem could arise because they are not responding.
You running away wouldn't solve their problems; it would create new ones for them....and, especially, new ones for you.
DON'T DO IT!
Hey! If the reason homeschooling didn't work for you was the social aspect, it's not so insurmountable. There are many, many online schools that have different requirements and structures. The online school I'm enrolled in has zero interaction with fellow students. And though the option is there, I've never even spoken to a teacher before. The closest thing I'm required to do in regards to sharing my opinions is the essays I write (they're teacher-graded), but my younger siblings are in an online school that doesn't even require that. It's called Acellus Academy. High school is tuition is 200$ a year, but I believe it's not paid in full at enrollment. You pay a small amount per month. You can enroll for a month for 30$, as a kind of trial run. If you're worried about the authorities, this could buy you some time, at least.
But don't stress about your mom getting into trouble. Social services do not want to take kids into custody unless it's the only choice they have. It takes a really serious in-home problem to result in an arrest or removal. So don't worry too much about it. You'll get this sorted out. You have many options in online schooling. Think about what you'd like in a school, and I'll help you look. I thought about transferring in my freshman year, so I've done quite a bit of research on online schools.
