Is it possible to be an aspie, but not come across as a geek

In my experience I seem to come across as a geek even though that's not exactly who I am. I think it's my aspie traits and awkwardness that are talking. People just assume I'm into comic conventions and anime. I have no interest in that. I have some weird and obscure interests, but none of them will make me have anything in common with common geek culture. Just like wearing black once in a while doesn't make me a goth. I also come across as quirky a lot of the time. But it seems like people think they can talk down to me just because I seem quirky. If people could see me as an equal I wouldn't mind so much.

Yes, different Aspies come across in different ways. I don't think I come across as a geek as such, just as quiet and weird.

I think I come across as weird, but in a geeky way. Why can't I come across as weird, but not a geek? I think sometimes I manage to just seem normal or artsy.

I think I was obsessed with being perceived as cool for a while.
But I really don't know what I come across as at all.

I definitely think it is possible for an autistic person not to come across as a geek, but I’m not one of them! I definitely don’t come across as cool in any way.

I don't know what a geek is, I see people call themselves geeks a lot but I don't really fathom what makes them a geek, I really like certain things and I don't have any interest in other things, I am not gonna waste time on things that don't cause any reaction or feeling within me. I don't have any interest in being a geek either.
