Do you love blinking lights?

I walk down the street in the evening, and when I see a store light up with colorful lights or neon signs, I have to stop and stare. It has some kind of dreamy quality. Especially I love muffled blue lights blinking slowly. It soothes me and changes my mood until I'm not even there, like I'm transferred someplace else.

Anyone can relate?

I ticked "Fascinated" but it's actually quite an annoying fascination. I just can't ignore blinking lights or TV screens etc. when they are in my peripheral vision - they can distract me to the point of completely losing focus on whatever I'm trying to do because I'm so drawn to look at them. If I go out somewhere with friends, I will always try to sit where there are no screens, gambling machines etc. in my field of view because I know I'll end up getting sucked in and will miss even more of the conversation than usual.

I hate them, find them overwhelming and distressing.

I love blinking lights. I even bought myself a set of 5 jumbo blinking lights that change colour and I have then hanging down my ceiling to plug in any time of the year.

I am not bothered. My autistic flatmate is though. We were at the shops and there were Christmas decorations up high with blinking lights. They really bothered her.

I like lights that screw around and are in constant peril or conflict, I like raindrops for the same reason, it's better when water and light interacts. I'm suspicious of lights even if I can see the source, I am entranced by lights that flicker and flail away attached to a device or shuddering away in the soup or sooty skies, could be ghostly orbs or attached to ufo's or cursed swamp gases gathering a cryptic army, if illumination has dubious intentions and nefarious notions, who cares, still look pretty!

Don't really care either way. The lights in the city do look kind of cool though, especially on a rainy night (but they're not really flashing). But driving during those conditions isn't as much fun, because the lines on the pavement are really difficult to see, so I'd let the bus driver do the driving in the city at night. (Country driving @ night is totally fine)
