How do you deal with the pain that the consequences of AS bring?
I end up hurting everyone arround me and most of the time not even knowing how.

I'm getting so tired of it, and I want the pain to end.

I have come to the conclusion that AS is a very emotionally painful problem to have. I hurt myself and all the people that I care about(and many that I don't) over and over again, no matter how hard I try, my best will never, ever be good enough. Now that's a depressing thought. What I want is relationships. I want friends, but I can't get them. My whole life I'll always be trying to catch up to other people, never getting what I want and always pushing people away when I want to pull them closer. If you come up with a solution, I want to know

I try to deal with it the best I can. I try to calm down and think the positives of things.

I try to be honest and add disclaimers to what I say, so that if I do say something rude or hurtful, I might frequently say to counter it "I can say stupid and hurtful things sometimes. Please don't take them like that because they're not honestly meant to sound that way."

Just making people more aware of this communication deficit seems to give them more patience with me.

Sophist, I don't see how that could ever work.

"I can seem like a jackass at times, please ignore me when I do."

 Seriously, I doubt that'll help attract people.
