Hi guys,

Personally, I am seeking more means of treatment to better take care of myself. However it's not been easy for me - I've had some bad experiences in therapy. I heard of a possibility for activities and social groups.
The main point is therapy, though. I was recommended psycho-educational treatment and just don't know how to search. I'm used to the fact that private therapist are the best choice for optimal treatment

With that, I also want to live life beyond my diagnosis

So what can I do? How can I start?

Thanks,

~Pillar

It probably varies a bit depending on what part of the world you live in.

How long ago was the diagnosis? Is this something the psychologist who diagnosed you can help with? Failing that, a good starting point might actually be a doctor. I know my doctor was able to help me find the psychologist who eventually diagnosed me. I would imagine a doctor could probably do the same thing for treatment.

I am diagnosed by a psychiatrist, and I won't be able to seek treatment by him for reasons I can elaborate on but won't change anything.
So I have a diagnosis and I need a therapist, support groups and friend groups revolving around ASD since I found people with ASD to be very comfortable to talk with (which was then when I started wondering if I have ASD :) )
I know what I need but I have difficulty reaching out to that kind of help, particularly to a personal therapist. So I'd love to hear of other ways someone like me can cope and improve in life.
I speak with a combined spirit of optimism and urgency, as my current state is very ill. I am taking natural supplements for stress which causes depression
