I did a personality type test today, not developed for people with ASD, but I'm curious to know what other people with ASD get who do the same test, because a lot of the questions do seem like they would be impacted by ASD.

Answer each question, true or false.

1. I see myself as competitive and driving.
2. I hate to wait.
3. I work best when I'm up against a deadline.
4. I prefer to do more than one thing at a time.
5. I am often angry with others, even though it may not show.
6. I get irritated with people who make mistakes.
7. I often feel like I'm in a race for time.
8. I set very high goals for myself, but I still get irritated when I don't meet my goals.

Scroll down for scoring.

Scoring:

6-8 true answers: Type A personality
Type A individuals tend to be impatient, aggressive, competitive, and multi-talking with a high need for advancement and achievement. These people are often described as "hard driving" and despite career successes, are often left unsatisfied.

4-5 true answers: Type B personality
Type B individuals tend to be non-competitive, consciously control anger, and express emotions appropriately. These easy-going people are not necessarily over-achievers but are often as successful in their professions as type A individuals.

1-3 true answers: Type C personality
Type C individuals tend to be more passive and self-sacrificing, often denying their own needs. These people are most able to suppress their own anger and often appease others.

I scored 5, but was really torn about true or false on the very first question, so it could have just as easily been a 4.

In any case, that's a type B personality, but it feels like it's a very polarized type B. Except for the first question, I felt very strongly about every answer.

So I'm more feeling like, depending on the circumstance, I switch between type A and C rather than being consistently B. For example, I definitely am often angry with others, even though it may not show, but I really hate to do more than one thing at a time. In fact, I get angry at people who try to make me do more than one thing at a time.
:D

In think the intention of the test is supposed to be that type B is sort of torn between true and false on most questions, but this is one of the few personality tests I've done where I was very confident in my response for most questions. As such, I feel like I'm a conditional A and conditional C rather than a consistent B.

I scored 7 and was very confident with my answers so am type A but like SplendidSnail it's conditional.

Looking at the 3 types I am definitely more type C but that is also conditional.

I'm not sure this type of test is accurate for someone with ASD and comorbids - just a guess

Shameless bump - I'd like to see how a few more people score on this.

6, and definitely somewhere between A and B, depending on the day.

B. I couldn't decide on 7th T/F (define "often" and even then it still depends on the context) so I am either 4 or 5 "true". I can somehow agree with the B description but I would rather say i am balanced between aggression and passiveness. "Assertive" might be a good word.

When I was a young teenager, a councilor tried to teach me to be more assertive.
