Hello all,

I'm would love your feedback on this subject. If there was a phone number you could call to chat with other Aspies anonymously, would you call? Basically, a conference call that you could call anytime. The number of people in the conference would simply depend on how many call in at the same time. It could be that you'd call and no one else would be on the line or there could be many. It would be similar to this support forum, but actually talking to someone. I'm only gathering market research at this point.

I was diagnosed with autism late in life and live in a rural area. There are no support groups anywhere near me for me to join. While online forums are great, sometimes it would be nice to talk to others. If such a hotline existed, do you think you would call?

Thank you for any responses.

No. Like a lot of us I hate talking on the phone, and even more so with strangers.
Forums FTW!

I couldn't do it because I'm not all that easy to understand on the phone.

I would call. I would enjoy that very much. When I talk to other Aspies we do not have the difficulties in communication that I have when I talk to nts. I have a couple of Aspie friends IRL and when we talk on the phone we can talk for five hours straight and not even realize the time has gone because we relate so well to each other and have such interesting conversations. Sometimes when I talk to nts I have no idea what to say or what we are really talking about.
