Can most moderate Autistics live on their own?

Depends on the person and circumstances I suppose. I don't see it happening for me. Maybe to some degree but not completely independent.

I guess it depends on how you define moderate. Back in the 1960-s, moderate was someone like Rainman, so no. In the 2000-s increasingly milder and milder cases were included, so I won't be surprised that moderate under 2000-s definition could live on their own. Then I guess this trend was reversed with the DSM 5, not sure how much though. So I have no clue.

I would be absolutely fine day to day getting on with stuff, feeding myself etc. But all the paperwork, bills etc baffle me somewhat.

I moved in with a girlfriend when I was 19 years old and 19 years later I still live with her. She is very organised and takes care of all that stuff.

Some of us do. I have winged it living on my own for the last 32 years.
Living close to others was always a bit more difficult.
