I have a difficult time getting motivated to interact with people in real life because a few common social behaviors disgust me. Have you experienced this and/or do you have any solutions or insight?

I guess the biggest issue is that I dislike a lot of facial expressions, especially when people have very expressive faces. It's just very foreign to me and is one reason why I don't like to look at people that I don't know well.

i don't like it when people behave in a back-handed way to their peers or to other people in general. "friendly insults" are common in the NT world but to me are just a contradiction-in-terms.

I get annoyed with the way NTs often think about alcohol, even those that aren't drinkers. They make jokes that involve alcohol in some way, and a lot think that getting drunk is a good idea, and they feel they have to talk about drinking even if they don't care for it.

I'm the opposite. I only care about non-alcoholic drinks and I never feel the urge to get drunk or even have a sip of alcohol when I'm out. I treat coke, juice or milk like it's alcohol. That is how much I don't care about alcohol, and I don't even care to talk about it.

Based on my experience, more autistics tend to avoid alcohol and drugs than not...
I haven't even touched weed because I don't like the idea of losing control...
