So I am 39, and I am supposed to become 40 at December 9. But Wrongplanet says I am 40 now. It switched my age from 39 to 40 just few days ago. Why did they decide to round the ages like that? I mean, I told wrongplanet what my birthday is (if you look at my profile you can see it), so why does it round it up this way?

Are you sure you entered the date correctly? Mine changes on the correct date.

Plenty of posters claim WP makes them look younger

But it's just a couple of months

Why does it matter?

Did it change on the 12th September?

Maybe you've put the date in the wrong format?

12/09/1979 (American format) instead of 09/12/1979 (British format) which the site appears to use.

Format needs to be DD-MM-YYYY

It should conform to the ISO 8601 date and time format , which is YYYY-MM-DD, but this is Wrong Planet, after all.

I just checked. I have it 12-09-1979. So could it be the opposite to what you described: WrongPlanet is using British format while I am using American format?

Switch the 12 and the 09 round, click save and it should be updated and show correctly. :D

Okay, I switched it to 09-12 and now it says I am 39.

Apparently WrongPlanet runs by the European system.
