The DSM IV diagnostic manual had Aspergers as a separate diagnosis but it was understood to be part of the Autism Spectrum.
The DSM V diagnostic manual which came out in 2013 is the current DSM Manual. It subsumed the Aspergers disorder, Autistic disorder, Childhood disintegrative disorder, Childhood disintegrative disorder, and Pervasive developmental disorder-not otherwise specified (PDD-NOS) diagnosis into the diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder.
