This morning at 6.45am BST my mum left Chatham Kent England to spend a week in Scotland to see the military tattoo (not a sort of thing I like I find that sort of thing very boring) and for the week from today (Sunday) I will have the flat all to myself. One problem though a hate my own company I spent years with my own company and now really hate I used to love but I don't anymore. I'm only working on Monday this week as my workplace is closed for the rest of the week. All those hours on my own I am not looking forward to it.

Does anyone share this problem.

I go somewhat crazy if I can't engineer enough time alone. I used to really love those times when my parents went away for a while and left me alone in the house.

My mom recently left me home alone for a week, too (she had to go to Washington DC for a business trip). I was so bored and lonely the whole time! One advantage, though, is that sometimes when my grandpa came over to do yardwork, he'd bring my little cousins along if they weren't busy so at least we got to have fun at the pool. And another advantage was I could walk around the house freely at night and watch TV downstairs in the great room. But yeah, it would've been nice if I had more people to talk to. If I'm stuck in the house long enough, I start to go stir crazy so that's never good. It's like I have a need to get out and do stuff.

Hmmm, I wonder if it would be possible for us to switch bodies for a week. I sure wouldn't mind having so much time by myself.

Do not fall for the trick MrMacPhisto. He does not want to switch bodies he wants to take control of your body and maintain control of his own body. Leaving your soul traped in a well of souls in hell.

1) Watch what TV you want, anytime. If you feel the need to watch Star Trek at 3am then go for it!

2) Meals that you like at the time you want them. Feel free to have a second helping.

3) Nobody chasing you round with a vacuum cleaner telling you to tidy up.

4) Rent something a bit racy from the DVD shop and know that you won't be interrupted.

5) Hooker(s), time to lose the record as the oldest virgin in town.

6) Crank up that stereo until the walls shake as there's nobody to complain about the noise.

Enjoy ! !!

My parents NEVER left us home alone. It took me getting out on my own to get any time alone, and even now it's a rarity to get any real alone time. It's nice to have a quiet house. If I want noise I'll go outdoors.

It's funny how contradictory AS can be! I do enjoy 'me' time but at the same time I do often hate being alone. I don't know if that is more to do with the fact I have ADD, but it still seems odd... Then again, I am odd!

I like being alone, but not constantly and involluntarily alone.
When I lived alone i was pretty good at keeping myself company, but it got old after a while and I would go out to bars (where I would hang out my myself around other people)

Man I wish I lived on my own. while I would probably miss my family. I can do a lot more than I normally would when people are in. Like Im dying to record some singing for a song Im working on but Im too conscious about singing.
