Does anyone else have trouble "connecting" with NTs?

I don't mean feeling "disconnected" due to harassment or insecurity, by the way. I mean a general lack of connectivity towards NTs that you've always had and that doesn't just stem from bad experiences with them.

I've felt like this since I was a kid. I used to think this was just how I feel about other people in general, but as I've gotten older I've realized that I don't feel this way around other autistic people at all.

It has been very noticeable to me ever since I started Kindergarten that neurotypical people are a lot different than me. I don't really get the way a lot of them think and I get an actual "uncanny valley" feeling when interacting with them, because we're the same species but they're very different from me socially and in how they choose to interact with me. I don't ever really feel "connected" to NTs, even NT family members, and have always had an overall lack of desire to interact with them that I don't have when I meet other autistic people.

This could be because I grew up in a household with mostly autistic people, so that's just my "normal". It's still interesting though that I don't feel this way towards them. I also wonder if this is how NT people feel when interacting with an autistic person and that's why a lot of them don't feel comfortable around us.

I often wonder what it would feel like just being around other autistic people, like adults and social interests/interactions.. I hopefully could potentially find out soon. As for NT's I'm constantly weary of being judged by others and no doubt they view myself as weird and different and that they all just like me because they have to. But this applies to everyone nt or otherwise. I had no choice but to be social with others as I was on the streets for quite sometime, years. And I'm not sure if my start of being social and being around people constantly has had a negative impact on my life. I just can't seem to deal with others and scrutinize myself harshly for it.. I am the biggest loser and f wit I know and I know people think it they just don't say anything. :(

I don't have trouble connecting to NT family members and they don't have trouble connecting to me.

I don't have trouble connecting to NTs in general but some have trouble connecting to me (mostly females around my age).

Of course.
We think differently than they do.

i can talk to them, weather, garden, animals, some smalltalk
i do not want much more, although sometimes one wishes to be in a perfect world
strangely it seems they want to know what i think of the weather, which is weird
but ... why not ????

i be "mean" again, "connecting" is bs, you're not a device
(bs newspeak to make you unhappy)
the masses flow with new words, that are fuzzier then the older words
as-------------------- another strange phenomena,
deep conversation, deep connection, wtf ?????????????
drill baby drill????

One of my friends was probably AS, but in general, I come closest to connecting with people who have a similarly considerate approach to life.
