about you own personal exploration?

What would be a good example of a
deep exploration for you?

Boy, are you gonna be sorry you asked! Its long and I don't think it will be of interest to any one other than me. But, ask you did.

Okay. Lets look at the mystic eye thread...one I did not post in.

It allowed me to exam my life. Two things stood out.

1) Its been very, very long since I've felt the fire. (Which, by the way, isn't a flame for me but a sun like ball that expands or contracts with my interest/commitment.) Some of that may be due to the demands of parenting, some due to the depression I'm working my way out of, some over the fact that my job duties have been evoling in a direction I don't care for. In any case, upon relection, I realized I do have more control over my life then I'd been thinking. Its critial to have fire or one's soul may die years before one's body. I had been blaming it on my job. I am seeing a concillor for the depression and she had suggested I think about other work. I had a million reasons why I couldn't...some legitamate, many not so legitamate. To top it all off, I began hating my job to the degree where I really wasn't putting any effort in. It took months but my boss finally saw that and called me on it. The therapist tried to tell me that that I had more options but I needed time to think about it to let it really sink in. I'd put off thinking about it until I read your post. After thinking long and hard, I realized I did have options. I could make my current job more interesting or I could, with some planning, begin looking for another. I decided to make my current job more interesting. My boss even noted and commented on my renewed interest.

2) You posted about sexuality/sensuality and the flame. I very much have a tendancy to live only in my head...I interact and enjoy the greater world so I don't mean it in that sense, I mean I don't think about my body. Its a secondary concern. I realized I had slipped into the mode where I was *totally* living in my head again. Time to broaden that out! I plan on starting by getting flowers for my senses to enjoy. I'll pick some up this morning when I pick up your book. I want to start excersing again. I haven't but once I decide to do something I almost always follow though so I will.

There! Is that the type of thing you were asking about?

I can relate to that Beebee, I feel that the "fire" inside is crtical too, and that I have to stay creative and make life interesting.
