Thank you Alex, for restoring the forum database. You have me worried for a while! :o

I appreciate your work and that of the moderators on this forum. As an admin of another (non-aspie) forum, I can certainly appreciate.

Personally, I kinda like those rare occasions when the electricity goes down. It forces me to find something else to do for a little while, like go for a walk or play my piano. The novelty wears off when hours become days.

I've started to notice the site loading much more quickly since I fixed the search problem.

"Keyword search takes up a lot of resources and is temporarily disabled to prevent the site from becoming unresponsive during peak times

Google will find threads on WrongPlanet in the mean time"

Unfortunately, Google doesn't return topic titles, just page titles, and all the page title at WP are the same, "Wrong Planet - Asperger and Autism Community." I suppose it would be prohibitively time consuming to make the page titles match the topic titles. Fortunately, this is a temporary situation.

Has anybody ever taken it upon himself to archive and organize links to past threads of various topics on WP? I've not found either method of searching to be exceedingly effective. A project like that tempts me, but I am already thinking of several practical difficulties.
