Is anyone here bad at math/science?

Hey, I'm just wondering, am I the only aspie or possible aspie who is utterly and completely terrible at science? I'm pretty decent with math, but give me a chemestry set and I'll cry.

I'm pretty bad at history, too, but I think it's because my note-taking skills are atrocious.

I am mighty right-brained, while 90% of aspies are left-brained.

I feel so alone... *emo tear*

Chemistry makes me want to run away. Perhaps if I hadn't been half asleep during class (first class of the day) and had any interest in it, this wouldn't be so. Something about it just doesn't connect with me.

I am very good at math and biology, though.

I never tried at either....so I don't know how good I am.

down with science! when r we going to use it anyway? I want to be singer or actress someday and I won't need science for that! If I can't be a singer or actress I'd liek to do therapy for crazy people.

Actually, I think I have a learning disability in math - it became my nemesis in high school and college, because I was so utterly bewildered by the concepts (Algebra II/Trig, especially) that my brain just "glazed over" and refused to learn. My instructors were useless as well - insulting and patronizing me because I couldn't grasp the formulas and concepts. As a result, I basically bombed my advanced math classes (despite otherwise being a straight-A honors/AP student), which trashed my GPA for quite awhile. I struggled through chemistry and astronomy as well, because though I could learn all of the main "scientific" material quite easily, the math aspect completely and totally kicked my @ss. Humiliating.

I sort of struggle with anything involving math. I find it difficult and often get the wrong answers due to very minor errors.
Science, now, I'm okay with science, and even if it's rather confusing, it's pretty easy to learn (though certainly not my best subject).

I'm not good at math at all, I do love biology but I can leave chemisty and physics... I suck at both.

I barely passed school exams at Math decades ago. Needed extra lessons and the whole nine. The belief that all Aspies are aces at logic processes is rather a widespread myth.

to answer this bad at math/science question.....

1)...I had to go chapter 1-1, 1-2, 1-3...ect...in a
math book to barely get a 46 in Algebra! So I think
math is not a strength!

2)...Science and reading(dissectively), I am ok! at.

I barely multiply. And SCIENTISTS have to know science. Not everyone wants to be a singer or actress!

You're not alone, nayashi. I'm not good at maths or science either. Very right-brain.

We're not all maths or computer savants!

If I were I'd be cleaning up like Bill Gates.

Science is one of my best subjects, but i'm not very good at maths.

Chemistry stinks,
Biology bleeds, and
Physics doesn't work!

But really, I did okay with physics in high school. But maths on the other hand still bewilders me. I tried to do specialist maths in year 12 but couldn't do any methods after that either. Then at the start of this year I started doing an advanced diploma that had maths and I still couldn't get my mind to doing it.

I can't do algebra or geometry to save my life because I see no point in them (if you want to know how many flowers to put in your garden get out there with a tape measure!) - same with chemistry and physics . . .

I am very good at biology and stat, though - because I can see the use in them . . .

I always adored science though I have never had the opportunity to take a Physics class.

I am okay with Math and generally understand the concepts, but I make so many damn computational errors. Though I was horrendous in Geometry. Give me an equation any day over that.

I enjoy Biology, some Physiology (and will be getting more into that with school), Neuropsychology and Psychology (which are venturing into the soft sciences), and enjoyed Chemistry except I refused to do any of the work in my 10th grade class because the teacher and I got off on the wrong foot the very first day of class and hated each other the remainder of the year-- so I wouldn't do my work just to spite her (yes, I realize it hurt me far more than her, but I didn't really care cause I can be stubborn as hell).

Despite all this, I am a very creative person as well and usually test about 60% Logical and 40% Creative on Right-/Left-Brained tests. I adore art and poetry.
