Should I stay or should I go?

Hello,
I'm looking for some advice / input on an issue that I have.
I have been invited to a couple family gatherings around Christmas time. Both of these gatherings are out of town and I have travel and accommodations already set up for me if I do choose to go.
I want to go as I don't want to spend Christmas alone. I am also hesitant to leave because I am dealing with major fatigue due to a chronic illness. I fear that I will burnout if I experience too much stimulation social or otherwise.
I don't know what to do, I feel so weak but I also do not want to miss out on spending Christmas with family.
So what do you think? Should I stay or should I go?

The emotional consequences of being alone on Christmas could be worse.
You should disclose your medical condition to your family members so they won't be bothered if you have to take a break from festivities.
Stay and meet with them virtually via something like zoom, whatsapp, or facetime. That way, you stay in your comfortable environment, you get all the rest you need, you control how much time you spend with them and you still get to enjoy being with them and sharing the holidays together. Sometimes my sister and I have dinner together that way even though we live in different states. We get to be together without having to travel.

That may be the thing to do. Trying to travel at this time of the year when a lot of folks are already depleted can be a significant ask. I hadn't really thought about it, but I've got a relatively nice webcam that has a tripod mount and if I still had relatives that were a significant distance away from me, I could set that up with a monitor for such get-togethers.

So, I ended up going on the trip, and I didn't die. So I consider it a success. Hahaha
I actually had a pretty good time. I did encounter some fatigue, especially near the end but my stepdad and I worked around it. My stepdad did 90% the driving so all I had to do was show up and pretend to look alive hahaha.
I am feeling pretty tired from all the excitement, but I feel it was well worth it. I am no worse off than I was prior to leaving for the trip, aside from feeling a bit depressed. But I had anticipated this happening as I was feeling pretty manic while I was away and this is just the natural progression of how my moods go.

That sounds like a good deal. I think you were wise to maintain relations with family.
