Bill's bunch? I don't understand, sorry. Could you explain the link between 'Bill's bunch' and the naming of diseases/ genetic conditions after the researchers who discovered them?

Besides, Asperers and autism ALREADY have short names and ALREADY have attribution. to name it after another would be scientific fraud and a disgrace.

Yeah, I mean come on, the condition is called ASPERGER'S Syndrome for crying out loud. It's already named after someone.

Well, I was interested in computers before M/S ever existed! I was using computers before most, INCLUDING I MYSELF, ever heard of bill gates! The first computer language I used was FORTRAN, which bill gates still didn't have his grubby hands on. I used basic VERY little. The rest ALSO had nothing to do with Bill gates.

So NOPE, I have no ties with him, other than my dad has played in the same tournaments, etc...

Yes , I realize it wouldn't be done , really , retroactively , and not done like that , even if dropping naming after doctors was to be done , which I , certainly , don't think that it's going to be .
I was making (attempting) a joke .

Not only was it a joke, but I got it! (Didn't laugh much, but that's just me).

If people with fascioscapularhumeral dystrophy can be called "Jerry's Kids" then I suppose that people with Asperger's syndrome can be called Bill's Bunch. I am indifferent to Bill Gates and think we should auction off the rights - If the richest man in the US wants to adopt us, Ok. If not, lets find another nick-name with some cache.

I think they make a good point about why they're bad, although practically speaking they're probably easier to remember than any other kind of name they'd give them, so they might actually be a good thing.
