I started to understand social cues when I turned 16 years old, but I have moderate problems with social-emotional reciprocity.

I wonder if just understanding social cues is not enough, I don't know what to say and even if I try to start a normal conversation, I get looped back into my restricted interests and not say anything overtime, and I am only comfortable with my own routine and block loud noises with headphones.

I think you've identified an issue that affects me, too.

I can't help you. I have no words of wisdom to share.

But I can tell you it isn't just you.
