Alcohol is bogus

I will never drink alcohol or use any recreational drugs. Just disgusting. My respect for someone goes ↑↑↑ when I find out they don't drink. Why is alcohol so normalized? Geez.

Probably because it is normal.

Humans seem naturally drawn towards experimenting with and otherwise enjoying intoxicants and alcohol consumption isn't even limited to humans; other frugivores also will intentionally consume fermented fruit in order to experience the effects.

I haven't touched alcohol in years, except for the beer that I drink once a year. Sure it's great in moderation, maybe once or twice a year, but just don't do it 24/7 with every type of alcohol under the sun, like my dad. I'm sure that my dad drinks because of me. I just don't bring it up. I wouldn't want my dad calling me a foodaholic.
