I'm recently self-diagnosed after finding out that my son has AS, and I swear that I'm becoming MORE Aspie as I get older (I'm 41).
How about the rest of you?

Mostly about the same although I have at least the appearance of being better in social situations. What's worse is my lack of friendships and complete lack of interests outside my obsessions.

I don't think it's getting worse, I just think it means you are becoming aware of your symptoms.

I've been slowly spiraling downward since the onset of puberty; it can happen in those with autistic disorder. (Lucky me!)

I've mostly just been thought of as odd or weird but that's because AS is not widely known, at least not around here....but i notice the symptoms a lot more when i get stressed...but that could be because i know what to look for....

Without even knowing what I had, I tried my best to be as NT as possible when I was younger, but now I find myself giving in to my oddities, especially stimming.

I stim more and have bizarre quirks perhaps... but I do seem to get better these days in terms of social interaction and the like...

I have gotton better the older I have gotton in social situations and basicly dealing with people, however my more serious problem just recently has been discovered, i started dating, first time in my life ever (seriously) a year ago, and I cant read her at all and have little way to respond, however ill do my best in other areas and hopefully learn a thing or too along the way.

Though I've learned to cope with social issues better, all the others have been getting worse as I age.

it's not really the condition it'self that gets worse,it's not progressive,is stable.
the problem is when things like environment, other people, situations etc affect it,these can all make traits stronger.
try and work out if there is anything going on that could be causing problems,or get someone else to have a think about it and then work out what to do about it,if anything can be done.

click the link: http://www.autistics.org/library/more-autistic.html
it's a good article about exactly what want to know about.

am not aspie, but can find autism can get worse, although usually it's the fault of regressions and misunderstanding and crap support.

I think I've been the same. I've had fewer and fewer friends over the years, with basically none since becoming an adult. But I think that's just because I'm not in situations where I can meet friends, and don't know how to (I don't even really know how friends are supposed to act as adults).

So...I think I'm pretty much consistent since I was a child, it's just that I'm supposed to be more advanced than I was, and I'm not really, which is harder in some ways now then when I was 6 or something.

My obsessions might be getting worse, considering I'm aware of them and embrace them completely, not to mention I just found my love for math. However, that's not to say my social skills are getting worse though; I still surround myself with a few friends who can help me there.
