what i mean is does anyone ever wish they were considered at lower functioning level ten you actually are.
sometimes i feel that way. iyts because life is so stressful and i can feel my self not being all aware and stuff thats not what i mean i just cant put in words i wish i could put a diagram here because that how im seeing these concepts in my head right now
but what im trying to say is im feeling "on the border" "my own little world" right now and im strugling to stay on the in the outside world because i have stuff i need to do
well if people saw me as "autistic" then they would just leave me alone and i wouldnt be expected to get everything done. or i wish i could just pause time for a few hours or days or whatever so if i do go into my own little world at least i wont be wasting time.
functioning level wouldn't make a person more autistic as such, the lower it gets the more it affects self help skills, abilities etc rather than an increase autistic traits.
would hate to be lower functioning, was closer to LFA than MFA when younger and would not like to go back to it.
the 'refuge in own world' trait of autism isn't great to have when constantly going back into it,and people around try to bring back out of it,that sort of 'intervention' is a sudden awakening,a rushed confrontation by reality.
how parents and teachers used to intervene with this years ago was akin to torture.
auties don't always have it 'easier' as such, especially as adults, the exceptions are only with those who are moderately-severely ret*d,perhaps just be mute/non verbal-definitely a way to be under expected of doing anything-unless trained and educated, support staff and others assume are ret*d when non verbal,in last place, was dragged around by the wrist by agency workers who assumed am was ret*d because am was NV,same with the fulltime NV LFAers there, treated like they can barely lift a finger to do anything because they cant speak.
Ravenclawgurl,
tell those around self about the pressures, the struggles, the challenges, don't let them not know, that's probably worse than anything because it'll just make things get worse putting up with it.
they should be better accomodating.
