What's your source of sustainance?

Well....um....I get help from my parents and I help run a venue with my boyfriend....

I am sorta "kept"

i do have my own sock creature internet bizzness...but that is less than minimum wage and I have not been able to do much sewing lately because of bad things...

In the past I have worked numerous jobs....sometimes several part-time..under the table jobs at once...

That is what I was doing at the time i hooked up with Flakey.

I generally am only able to mantain the crappiest jobs where everyone I am working with is at least 10 years younger than me....
Though in the past I did work in an office for two years....and left volluntarilly...I think i did ok at that job...everybody thought I was weird, but I was dedicated...did most of my job well...

If and when i get another normal job, I would like to not work in food service..I would be ok in a shipping department for a small company..or something like that....I would love to work with children, but if you don't have an education in that field, the pay is dismal...If and when i ever have time, I plan on vollunteering at the local "alternative" school just cause I like kids.

I work all the time, but I don't have a good salary.. so I can't pick one.

Right now my dad is supporting me as much as he can, even when things get tough. Hopefully when I become a web designer, things will change.

Right now I'm living at home with my mum and younger brother. I was teaching English in South Korea from last December to the end of June. I had a very bad depressive episode and I had to go home to get treatment. Korea is not the most progressive country with regard to mental illness and I didn't want to risk my boss reacting badly. I did make some good money there which I will use for treatment of my various issues. I've been unemployed since I came back and I'm unsure what kind of job I want.

Between my fiance and I, our household income is a little over 2 grand a month (we work the same job). So I chose "good" salary, 'cause it was the closest. Not 50 grand a year good, but yunno, good.

None of above; "board and lodging" and pocket money, in return for au-pair style work ( looking after my son, and the bit of housework I get round to ) provided by his papa.
Have spent long periods on state benefit ( from few months to few years), and also several years working for reasonable salaries ( from 3 months to 3 years), after 4 years at uni paid for by parents.

State benefit and a safe rent subsidised flat all to myself was the best set up yet. sigh!

Well, I do ok on my salary. This poll, without an age component, isn't very meaningful. After all, we ALL relied on our parents/guardians to some degree at some age.

My aspy husband was lucky enough to be geeky in the right field just before computers spread all over the place. So he made some good money. If we had been in a different decade, we'd probably be barely making it. Right now, the state pays me to keep my autistic daughter with me. In a foster home dog pound, they'd have to pay about four times as much to whomever has her,

I make a halfway decent buck, enough for me to live on compfortably ATM. However someday I want to progress in life, and I realize it wont be enough in the future.

I work but my hours were cut this week because of the holiday but I hope my schedule will be normal for next week. If my hours are still cut, I am living off of my savings.

I didn't pick any of them. I have a job but the pay isn't that great. I have a 4 year teaching degree but haven't been able to find a teaching job because I'm too weird evidently. I never know how long I'm going to have a job. I quit working as a 3rd shift AS400 operator back in 2002 so I could finish school (coulcn't work 3rd shift and do student teaching at the same time). So anyway....I graduated in 2004 and I've been working weird odd jobs since then. I substitute taught, I was a director at a daycare, I worked for CPS with the state, and now I work for a company that works with people with disabilities. I like this job, but the pay is kinna crappy and I have to listen to my husband b***h about how grossly underpaid I am all of the time.
It sucks.
I would rather just stay home and sew all day, but can't figure out a way to do that, yet.
