I have a really weak stomach... Even if I am just watching a movie where one of the characters is throwing up, I often gag...
If I hear someone vomiting, or see it, or most of all smell it, I can start gagging. Not always, but often. Any one of those things can make me want to throw up... just the sound alone.... or if I see a puddle of it in a parking lot of something... I want to gag. or in a restroom, if I smell it, I feel nauseous .
If my cat has a hairball, I can't look at it... without being grossed out.
I have to work up the courage to get a huge wad of balled up paper-towels to try and pick it up.. I gag so many times, even on an empty stomach... It's horrible, the whole process of cleaning it up.. so much that I've thought that I didn't want the cat. Although, I really love my cat.
I remember once when I was 5 years old, some kid had thrown up in the middle of the classroom.. I walked outside and stood outside trying to let the nausea pass.. feeling like gagging myself and the teacher came out, yelled at me for leaving, and made me sit in the corner for the rest of the day... punished because I was trying not to hurl all over her classroom myself... I guess, at 5 years old, I wasn't able to verbalize what was going on with me...
I remember once on a long car trip, my grand-mother was sitting beside me and started throwing up... I must have looked like I had frozen.... I was so much fighting off the instinct to hurl..... My father yelled at me visciously! "Can't you see what's happening!! !! !" Help her!! !! !
he never saw me for who I am... ever..... he didn't know I was almost hyper-ventilating to keep from throwing up myself.... My Father always used to yell at me and call me weird... He seemed to truly hate me, but others say he didn't hate me... but he sure never helped me. He passed away over 15 years ago... and I don't think he ever really knew me at all..
