I believe that some novels may be of great Emotional and social benefit to Aspies.
Books by Kurt Vonnegut I think are fantastic, and probably help all people emotionally and socially, but benefit aspies in particular.
Kurt vonnegut explains emotions in reltation to characters and plot intricatly and is always trying to make sense of human behaviour in his novels, in a very clear cut no nonsense way, without the ambiguity used to create mystery or suspense that is done so often in other novels by other authors.
His books all have Science-Fiction themes underlying them, though the quirkiness of science fiction technoligies etc is clearly never meant to fascinate the reader but rather humour the reader, thus this takes the emphasis off of appreciation of machines for the reader, and forces the reader to appreaciate the humour and irony of the teachnologies and concentrate back on the emotions of the characters.
It almost makes you no longer fascinated by machines and computers for a short while, As kurt vonnegut has mocked them and showed how pointless they are to the happiness of induviudual humans.
