It's so bloody annoying! My mother used to be like that. If it was because I was anxious, depressed, or affected by something that was happening or that happened, the same as an NT would be, my mother assumed it was probably the AS that made me say or do or think or feel what I was saying or doing or thinking or feeling!

I have an ex-friend who would say "I don't know if it's your asperger's or not, but when you.... (such and such) it really bothers me." Most of the time, it wasn't my AS, it was that she was just pissing me off... and NOT because of my AS (as far as I know!! !! !)
