Is my obsessive avatar changing caused by AS?

Probably just plain dissatisfaction.

You often get bored and dissatisfied with your avatar.

Nope! AS resists change.

Maturity and personal growth is expressing it's self, showing you can be anything you want, and AS is only a small part of your whole person.

Besides, I like the ever changing slide show of your avatar picks, you have good taste.

I was doing a bit of experimentation, and I've come to a conclusion, that Sid seems to fit me the best. He represents my present, along with Snowbabies.

Nah. Otherwise we'd all be doing it.

If they change with your current interest....

Totally AS.

So, if that's the case, then according to the avatar...
Current interest: nothing
How very profound.

If one is interested in say a certain fictional character from a certain fictional piece of media; it's common to use that character as an avatar. It can then change if said individual changes which fictional character from whatever fictional piece of media that they are now interested in.

If you look around here, you can notice the pattern.

(Some of us don't like displaying that which we're interested in, or talking of it; others are the complete opposite.)

I have a rule that I only change my avatar once every 500 posts - hence I've had three.

I don't know what I'll do when I get to my next 500 since I've gotten pretty attached to this one.

I would think having AS would making changing them less appealing.

The only trouble I have with it is that I get to know people by their avatars.

I would change mine more often, but unlike other forums, this place doesnt have the auto-shrink function, and I'm too lazy to shrink it myself, upload it elsewhere, and link...

When in doubt, ask an autistic. Chances are, they're obsessed with what you need to know.
