When I was in high school I never smiled infront of people who were not my close friends. People would always walk up to me and tell me jokes or do something funny but I would never crack a smile. One day in art class some girl called my name and when I turned around to look at her she flashed he boobs at me. That was the only time I smiled in front other students who were not close friends. she turned to her girlfriend that she knew she could get me to smile. :D

Tickle me. Girls have risked life and limb tickling me knowing that I flail uncontrollably from it.

Hmm.. Most people who try to get me to smile fail miserably... and only succeed in confusing me. Then when i say "huh?" they say they're joking and trying to get me to smile. There's a guy at work who does this a lot lately, and it's getting annoying because what he says just sounds like nonsense and i definitely don't get what kind of humor he's going for... definitely not something that's going to make me laugh.

I cut my finger cutting fruit for garnishes while bartending one day. So I went back in the kitchen to find a band-aide to put on it. :?
-------------------------------------------------------------
The executive chef, Tom grabbed my hand and told me he wanted to see how bad it was. :?:
-------------------------------------------------------------
Before I knew what was happening he had my arm pinned on the prep table calling out for surgical instruments as if he was a surgeon in an operating room. Image
-------------------------------------------------------------
So one of his assistant came over with this big knife and I had to stand behind him where I couldn't see what the Hell he was doing with my hand.
-------------------------------------------------------------
And people were running around the kitchen grabbing things for him and wiping his brow. Image
-------------------------------------------------------------
He kept making chopping noises :pale: on the table knowing full well how much I valued my fingers because I played piano. Image
-------------------------------------------------------------
I laughed until I cried he was so hilarious! Everyone in the kitchen was hilarious! :lmao: :jocolor:
-------------------------------------------------------------
Finally he put a band-aide on my finger. And unpinned my arm.
-------------------------------------------------------------
I still have the band-aide, I keep it in a little leather box from italy. I look at it once in a great while to remind me of that time in my life and how funny he was. :) :chef:  :)

While I admit that nothing really makes me smile, (this is no exception) I would actually be pretty angry about this. It is immaterial whether or not I would like it if a women flashed her boobs at me. If I found the women attractive, I probably would like it. Nonethless, I would be angry about it because I see an unfair double standard with things like this.

If male flashes his privates to someone, he is viewed (and rightfully so) as a pervert. It doesn't matter if he's arrested for this or not. What DOES matter is how people generally view the male who flashes their privates to others as opposed to the female who does. The women who does this can also be charged with indecent exposure. But again...it doesn't matter how the law deals with something like this, what matters is that society generally considers the male a vile pervert for such behavior while it's viewed as more or less a joke when the female engages in it.

I've had several experiences in my life which would illustrate my point here. When I was in high school, I attended a pool party at my friend Jeff's aunt's house. Many of us who went swimming didn't bring an extra set of clothes we could change into after we got out of the pool. Since we didn't want to walk around in wet shorts for the rest of the night, my friend's aunt let us put our shorts in the dryer and gave us towels to cover ourselves in until our shorts were dry. There was a 30-something drunk female co-worker of Jeff's aunt at the party who thought it would be cute to pull our towels off when we walked by her.

She tried to do this with me and several other 16 Y/O BOYS who were walking around with towels. She didn't succeed as each of us grabbed the towel and pushed her hands away before she could pull it off. Well...everybody except me and the other "victims" thought this was real cute and they got a big kick out of it. Well call me a prude or something, but I didn't think the prospect of standing stark naked in front of my friend's aunt, girls we went to school with, and countless other people was very cute. :x

Now imagine what would've happened if this would've been a guy who tried this with a bunch of girls walking around in towels. I can almost assure you he would've been beaten to a pulp and possibly arrested as well. How exactly is this fair?

My NT ex-girlfriend and I used to go out to clubs and bars once in awhile because she liked to be among people and dance. Being the cinder block with a heartbeat that I am, she would dance by herself (or her girlfriends) while I would sit bored off in a corner somewhere and stare into space. She knew I had NVLD/AS and accepted my wooden demeanor and abysmal social skills for what they are.

At any rate, alot of people (myself included) found her attractive and "exotic" since she is Taiwanese. Therefore, she would get hit on quite a bit by both men and women. The men pretty much kept their distance and would just try to talk to her, offer to buy her drinks and all the usual things men do at bars when trying to pick up women. But apparently lesbian or bisexual women would touch her quite inappropriately and she gave them NO indication that she wanted to be touched.

Once again....everybody in the bar seemed to feel there was nothing wrong with this sort of thing and that it was all as cute, funny, sexy and innocent as the goings-on in that Katy Perry video for her "I kissed a girl" song. My GF DID NOT think these unsolicited advances were appropriate and she made that clear to the perpetrators in no uncertain terms. Again....what would happen if a guy did this sort of thing? What would happen if a male stranger in a bar suddenly walked up to her and started feeling her up?

There are far too many double standards in this morally/ethically selective and hypocritical society of ours. Some of them are downright sexist and STILL comparatively accepted even by people who claim to revile any sort of sexism. Many people, even some women who call themselves feminists, still view sexually promiscuous women as dirty "sluts", "whores" and "tramps".

In contrast....how do we generally view the promiscuous male?

He's just guy "doing what guys do" at worst? He's a "stud", an "Alpha male", a
"player", a "Don Juan", etc....at best???

Now to be fair, plenty of women (and to a lesser extent....some men) DO view such men in a negative light. But it seems to me that, often enough, there's even a double standard with this. That is....it seems many women are pretty harsh (rightfully or wrongfully.......the morality/immorality of promiscuity has nothing to do with my point in this post) when it comes to promiscuous HETEROSEXUAL males.

I have rarely, if ever, heard women complain about any Homosexual males when
they are often as promiscuous as Heterosexual ones. I'm not complaining about
women or gay people here. I consider myself a feminist insofar as a male can be
and i'm 100% for gay rights, equality, marriage, etc...Rather.... what I am
complaining about is double standards and hypocrisy wherever and whenever
they rear their ugly heads.

I notice this same sort of hypocrisy is present in Asperger's/ASD "community" including right here on WrongPlanet. Once again...we are talking about people who really ought to know better than to engage in it. Many people with AS who are highly "gifted" in one or more academic/technical subjects somehow think it's OK to denigrate the "dumb neuroptypicals" who don't seem gifted in any of these subjects. They seem to coveniently forget what it's like to be denigrated, dehumanized, devalued, mocked and ostracized for their own deficits in social interactions and/or motor skills and/or etc.....And the NT's in question might not even be defacto "deficient" in any of these subjects.

They just might not be as "gifted" at them as the particular "aspies" (I truly hate that word.....but it was convenient to use here) in question are.

The rampant double standards and hypocrisy in our society is big part of the reason why i'm a bit wary of many people who claim to be so moral, non-judgemental, open-minded, etc....There are far too many pots accusing the kettles of being black.

My fiancee is good at making me smile, most other people not so much, but the things she does to elicit those smiles will go undisclosed.

I'm usually the one making people smile. I smushed an icecream into my face in pizza hutt once to make people laugh.

Regardless, I don't know if anyone has done anything really out there to make me laugh. Dad used to be pretty good at making us kids laugh wehen we were angry or mad.

nothing beats Taupey's story, but people wandering outside (or out of apartments, into hallways) naked always makes me laugh.

-------------------------------------------------------------
Thank You for the compliment Katzefrau (Cat Lady)! :) BTW, I like your nickname. I don't believe my story beats anyone's, it's just different.
-------------------------------------------------------------
People wandering outside naked might make me laugh too but that would depend on the situation. You saying that, reminds me when I was in the Air Force. Image
-------------------------------------------------------------
This one Air Force barracks I stayed in during tech school, it was square with a court yard in the middle so we could all shout and talk from our room windows to each other on the different floors. :salut:
-------------------------------------------------------------
One hot day, a couple decided to _______ without ________ infront of the opened window.
-------------------------------------------------------------
The way the other people reacted and responded to them was what was so absolutely hilarious to me especially the initial shock.
-------------------------------------------------------------
I was not comfortable watching. So I was watching everyone else. :nerdy: :D
-------------------------------------------------------------
The situation was embarassing to me. When I get embarassed, I often laugh a whole lot anyway. :lmao:
-------------------------------------------------------------
So I understand what you are saying. :D
