Do you lack insight/judgment?

My mother said that I lacked insight and judgment because I went on shopping sprees with my Dole money when I was supposed to be helping her out. She said I didn't understand that that was hurting her. The truth was, I knew it would hurt her a little. But not as much as not doing it would have hurt me. So I actually had good insight/judgment, because if I didn't stimulate myself enough by doing things like shopping, I would have become catatonic permanently (see my catatonia thread).

She's probably just saying that because your insight and judgement happened to not agree with hers. (How dare you think for yourself)

You sound fine to me.
