Near-sighted...

well. as some of you know I've been having trouble w/ my eyesight. the test at school didn't turn out so well, and they said I need glasses. I had an eye doctor test yesterday and the lady said I'm near-sighted and need glasses for everyday. she said that teenage eyesight can fluctuate just like hormones though and it might not be permanant though it probably is. I really want to get my Glasses now. but at the doctors office they take 2-3 weeks to get to you, and the local yeshop takes a week. I thought Lensecrafters, which can do it really quick, but my mom says that since it's so quick the glasses are cheap and crappy. are they??

Lenscrafters is actually known as one of the better retail eyeglasses stores and is one of the few used by many insurances. However, there might be slightly better quality from another store. There is really no difference in how the glasses are made just at other stores they have to send them to a lab to create and at Lenscrafters they have the equipment onsite. If you don't have a stigmatism or somethingelse that causes special grinding on the glasses it probably makes no difference.

I'll had glasses from Lenscrafters and they have been fine. They are a bit more expensive in this area though, and were not on the last two insurances I've had.

It sounds good to me. My Mom wants to waste the day away though and then go really late so I'm tired as heck. arg. My teachers haven't been officially informed, but I Have hinted to most of them and the've noticed, and one by one I've been seated closer to the board. *a little bit Of Irony: My new friend chris has been telling my science teacher That he's near-sighted so he can sit near me...He's gonna think thats funny.
I have a rounder face, but I think square glasses look good on me! pretty!

I'm just about to go get my first glasses! wish me luck!
