I'm having a dilemma. I was diagnosed with AS, I don't remember when, maybe ten years ago. And I turned out to be like normal children, I can speak like the NT, well except that my speech is slightly more eloquent. I have my quirks, just never relized that my behavior was *quirky* back then. As years passed symptoms started to become worse. When I was around 14, I started to lose touch with my speech, I tend to lose the words and never finish my sentences. I'm very often misquoted. I don't know why i stutter. I became mre clumsy. Now three weeks ago, I'm having problems with my eyesight. In classrooms fluorescent lighing became too bright. Classroom chatter tends to get too loud, and at the end of the day, I shut down. It feels like a computer crash. Something is making me slow, and I talk like a drunk. Communication became even more difficult.
I looked this up and it was something called regression. I'm going to look this further.
Is it possible autism symptoms get worse as you get older? Even in your teens?
